When you see the clouds of heaven along the gates of hell, which would one you choose? How would a lover of God respond to the fallen branches of evil lingering along the midst of the ground, waiting for a vulnerable one to fall through the cracks?

Why is she vulnerable?

While the cold bars and dark branches of evil seize her attention, is she aware of the impulsive struggle behind her? As she lifts her knees and her heels, will she decide to step forward?

Or will she step back?

Damaris was born in southern Mexico where her family background is loyal to the religion of Christianity. The irony of this photo was that we both did not stage the crucifix that was already there. Nor did we expect that it would show up dead center on the vertical line. For Damaris, this photo is sentimental. It represents her persistent relationship loving towards God as she regularly attends Sunday gatherings at her local church in Fresno.
