For this assignment, students act as important members of a mock non-profit organization in charge of promoting Merced to the national audience. They are given the task of designing a poster, with one to two images and a paragraph of 200 words, to show the "seductive" side(s) of Merced. They have the freedom to choose any subject matter (with or without people) and use any visual style that they deem appropriate to produce an effective poster.

The homes are very spacious and designed perfectly for a single family. The streets are very clean and it is a very safe neighborhood. There are many community parks in the city of Merced so your children and your family can have fun together. The homes in Merced are very cheap compared to the homes in the Bay Area and Southern California. If you want to buy a home, Merced is the perfect city to buy it at. You don’t necessarily have to live in Merced to buy a home. Some people have bought homes and rented it out to students or other families. The homes here will be a good investment because of the University of California Merced. Just recently about 4 years ago, University of California opened in September 2005.
